What We Believe

Five-Fold Ministry

We believe in the five-fold ministry: Eph. 4:11-16; 1 Cor. 12:28. -11- And He gave some apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelist; and some pastors and teachers; -12- For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: -13- Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: -14- That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; -15- But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: -16- From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Salvation

We believe in salvation by faith in the sacrificial offering of the Lord Jesus Christ, Rom. 10:9, 10; Acts 4:10-12; John 14:6, for the remission of sins, Matt. 26:28; Heb. 9:14, 22.

The Rapture

We believe in the rapture of the church, 1 Cor. 15:51-58; 2 Thess. 2:1-12; 1 Thess. 4:14-18. Thus preceding a 7 year tribulation period in which, that man of sin, shall be revealed, the anti-christ, 2 Thess. 2:1-12; Dan. 7:8,24,25; Rev. 13, also known as Daniel’s seventieth week, Dan. 9:24-27, and the time of Jacob’s trouble, Jer. 30:7, of which will culminate in the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Rev. 19:11-16; Matt. 24:30; 25:31,32, setting up His Kingdom on earth, Rev. 21:1-8; Dan. 7:9-14.

Helps

We believe in helps and governments in the local church to assist in ministry as deemed necessary by the Pastor and Officials of the church, 1 Cor. 12:28b; Heb. 13:7, 17, 24. The Pastor and Officials also have the sole responsibility of keeping order in the local church and for the governing of it.

Anointing Oil

We believe in anointing with oil, Mark 6:13; James 5:14; Exodus 29:7, 30:30, 40:9-15; Lev. 8:12. Thus symbolizing the anointing of the Holy Spirit in sanctifying His people for the work of the ministry.

Feetwashing

We believe in feetwashing of the saints according to John 13:3-20, symbolizing humility in service one to another as unto God. Being also indicative of our willingness to minister to those that have been rejected. Jesus demonstrated a love that broke tradition by ministering to those who were castaways, John 8:1-11; 9; 4:5-26; Luke 19:1-9; 15:1-7; 8:26-29; Mark 5:1-13; 5:25-34.

Tithe

We believe that the tenth (or tithe) of all increase is holy unto God, Mal. 3:8-12; Gen. 14:20; Lev. 27:30-34; Deut. 14:22; Heb. 7:5-9; Matt. 23:23, and freewill offerings, Luke 6:38; 2 Cor.9: 6-11; Rom. 2:22; Mal. 3:8-12.

Sacrements

We believe in the sacraments ordained by Jesus Christ, which are baptism and the Holy Communion. Baptism by immersion in water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18, not for salvation, 1 Peter 3:21. But in obedience to the commandment of Jesus Christ, symbolizing an inner experience of the believer, Romans 6:1-6; Gal. 2:16-21; Col. 3:1-17. Communion with bread and the fruit of the vine (grape juice), 1 Cor. 11:23-30; Matt. 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:13-20, for Jesus commanded, “This do, in remembrance of Me.”

Holiness

We believe in a life of sanctification and separation for the born again, Spirit filled believer, 1 Cor. 6:15-20; 2 Cor. 6: 14-18; 1 Peter 1:13-16; 2:9-14; Col. 3:1-17; and Eph. 4:17-32. Demonstrated by the fruit of the spirit, Gal. 5:22-26: -22- But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, -23- Meekness, temperance, against such there is no law. –24- and they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. –25- If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit. –26- Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. This is the more excellent way, 1 Cor. 12:31. This life is also demonstrated by the power, speaking, and revelation gifts of the Spirit, 1 Cor. 12:7-11: -7- But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. –8- For to one is given by the Spirit the work of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; - 9- To another faith, by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; -10- To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: -11- But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible (The Traditional King James Version, though not excluding many of the other versions) is the Word of God. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works, 2 Timothy 3:16, 17, also see 2 Peter 1: 19, 20.

Apostles Creed

We believe in God The Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God The Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Holy sanctified church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

God

We believe in the Trinity. One God manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are one and the same, Gen. 1:26; 3:22; 11:7; Eph. 2:18; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 5:7,8.
